Kara Thrace is Artemis, Kore Thrakiko (Daughter Thracian)
Hail Kara Thrace, harbinger of death
Give us the strength to fight.
To fight for our beliefs, to fight for what we love
And to fight to fulfill our destiny.
Kara Thrace, phantom of fate
Give us the wisdom to understand
That without resistance there is no change
And from destruction there comes rebirth.
1. “Angel” is just an envoy. And they can have a deity. The Greeks had Hermes.
2. If the plot has Apollo, then it is logical that Artemis should also be;)
Kara Thrace is Kora Thracian, a goddess who goes to the world of the dead and returns from it (!). The temple of Kora Sotera (“Savior”) was built in Sparta by Orpheus of Thrakies (comparable to the temple of Orpheus in the series!). “Kora” is Greek for “Virgo”, in the subterranean hypostasis – she is Persophone, wife of Hades (remember the captivity of Kara at Leoben!).
[Verse 1]
In the void she flies with grace
Kara Thrace a cosmic embrace
Goddess Artemis in disguise
Underneath the stars she lies
[Verse 2]
Transcending boundaries far and wide
Her courage like the astral tide
In the depths of space so vast
Her legacy forever cast
[Chorus]
Kara Thrace in the night sky
Wings of fire she will fly
Echoes of the stars we hear
Her soul forever near
[Verse 3]
In the cockpit she commands
Navigating through the lands
With a voice so fierce so strong
In her heart she’s where we belong
[Verse 4]
Battlestar through realms unknown
She stands tall carved in stone
Guiding light in endless dark
Like a comet a radiant spark
[Bridge]
Space unfolds as she ascends
Breaking limits none can mend
Her spirit lifts us high above
A testament to boundless love
