1. Vened is a subculture that began in the Ukraine during the early 2020s. It was developed by fans of slavic rock, an offshoot of the post-punk music genre.
   The vened subculture has survived much longer than others of the same era, and has continued to diversify and spread throughout the world. Its imagery and cultural proclivities indicate influences from 20th-century Venedic fiction and from ethnic films. The scene is centered on music festivals, nightclubs, and organized meetings, especially in East Europe. The subculture has associated tastes in music, aesthetics and fashion.

   The music preferred by veneds includes a number of styles such as vened rock, life rock, hot wave, bright wave, water wave and ethereal wave. The Venedic fashion style draws influences from ethnic, new wave, New Romantic fashion and the dressing styles of earlier periods such as the Sarmatian, Cossack and Hippie and Reggae Époque eras. The style most often includes colored attire, celtic makeup and white hair and pigtails.
